I don’t remember the exact date of my penance. I think it was likely to be a process. Once there was a calling to penance at some sermon, and my parents “pushed” me forward saying something like go and repent. Then they congratulated me on something and I felt deep inside that it made some sense in my life. But my life didn’t change radically. I kept going down as it had been before the penance. There was even the moment when I felt I betrayed God. It was that way until he “shook” me and showed where I was and who I was. It was a crucial moment that only my close relatives know about. God rescued me, accepted my repentance, and helped to stay at university.

Since then my life with Christ began to be filled with new opportunities and abilities After I had graduated from the university I had an opportunity to study at Bible school in “Philadelphia” where my faith was supported with system of biblical knowledge and with Christian system as a whole. God gave me even a greater opportunity for my wish to recognize Him. I was baptized by the Holy Spirit and began to find out the gifts I had had but hadn’t known about before.

In1998-2006 my wife Olga and I served to university students in Izhevsk: formed cell-groups for Bible studies, organized Big Students’ meetings, held the Alpha-course, started the project of “12 steps”, prayed and visited endless youth conferences and what not. I thank God for the fact that a lot of students went through our service, not only through ours but also through the team of leaders’ that formed around us, and many of those students stayed in churches, not only in “Philadelphia”, some of them joined the Orthodox Church.

At the same time I felt responsibility as a man for taking care of my family, so along with the ministry I started a small business so that our family could be well-off, that business also helped our ministry.

In 2006 we were invited to join another Christian mission, and in 2008 when fasting in church there was a revelation to start a new ministry. It was the revelation that the ministry of glorifying and worship should be guided practically and spiritually. God told the Senior Pastor that it should be me who was to conduct this ministry. I am always happy about my Lord giving me an opportunity to serve Him and the Church. So, I accept it as a big honour and responsibility.

Today my duty is to form the experience and vision of the worship ministry, form this vision develop and promote it in church .The worship ministry is very varied, so it needs uniting groups and communities by their leaders, creating and developing new musical bands for the church services and evangelizations, recruiting new musicians and technicians and, of course, forming the atmosphere of worshiping on Sundays services by means of harmonic alternation and combination of different forms of worshiping (music, dancing and prayer), systematic formation the biblical vision of worshiping in parishioners and members of the church by means of sermons and collective prayers in church.

There are many other things that will help to find and form individual style of worshiping and glorifying God, get confirmed in it so that the atmosphere of solemnity and awe can always remind us about the magnificence of the God we stay in front of.
