The Sunday meeting of the church “Philadelphia” on 22 November was marked by the sermons on attitude to servers and about cell groups. Senior pastor Pavel Zhelnovakov was in a trip in the Far East in some Bible schools, so the meeting was conducted by youth pastor Vladimir Batalov.

Worship group of Sergei Tensin led the church in music praise. After this pastor Vadim Ryabov started his sermon by the discussion of gifts that are given by God for serving people. This leads to understanding what our attitude to serving people should be. Christ answered to those who had asked Him to show the Father, that being with Jesus for three years they had seen Him. In the church we also see God through servers who we should respect. Every Christian should have a counselor — a wiser person that will help our life be filled with God’s gift.

Vladimir Batalov pointed out the importance of cell groups. There are many examples of successful natural church growth through such meetings of several people who are united by age, interests or city area. They are important for spiritual growth of every Christian, for evangelism, for getting closer relationships. A cell group is a cell in the church body. This form of communication and ministry existed from the very beginning of Christianity. Jesus had a close relationship with 12 people. The first meetings of Christians were held in home churches.

Cell groups supplement big church meetings. It is a place not for gossips but for discussing important questions, bringing up leaders, teaching how to pay and be joyful.
