The Sunday meeting of the church “Philadelphia” on 18 October was held in a new place — in the cinema “Aurora”. The praise hymns were sung by the worship group of worship pastor Sergey Tensin.

Youth pastor Vladimir Batalov suggested recalling all answers that God has given us through all our life, recalling His help and leading us to the right and beloved people. Of course there were difficult situations, but if we give free play to fears and doubts, we risk the most important things. When Jesus comes, will He find faith on the earth? Fear is a manifestation of lack of faith. It is like an infection that tries to intrude into believers’ hearts. Even disciples were not safeguarded against it. In the famous story in Mark 4:40  we see that Jesus rebuked His followers who were afraid of the storm: “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?” We must get free from these chains if we have let them to bind us, because it may happen that this harsh phase of Jesus will be for us: “May you never bear fruit again!” The solution is to oppose by strong faith, to wait for Jesus actively and in a constant prayer.

Senior pastor Pavel Zhelnovakov called everybody to look at happiness of the human heart from a different angle. The Bible says that blessed and happy are those who suffer from temptations. Temptations are born in our heart and we yield to them. God helps us to come through them, putting the limits: “No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear” (1 Corinthians 10:13). God helps us deaden the acts of flesh because darkness comes away from God’s light. We must be alert and pray to oppose the temptations.
