At the meeting of the church “Philadelphia” on July, 5th the questions about how to live with faith trusting in God and how not to take your time were discussed.

At the beginning of his sermon Vadim Ryabov gave an example of dandelions that every day open at the rise and close at the sunset. Lives of some Christians sometimes resemble it — in the morning they briefly greet God, then plunge into business and worries, and after that thank God for this day before going to bed. At least dandelions have fuzz that carries their seeds. Such Christians, though, do not bear any fruit. They submit to the influence of a demon of postponement — they put everything off, may it be closeness to God, ministry or other decisive actions. Sometimes we stick to a very convenient position — let Go do everything Himself, forgetting that we are called to be His co-workers. It looks as if we were going on a boat trip but would throw away the oars and say to God: “Move me!”

What we really need to do what God has called us to, is taking responsibility for our actions, praying for a clearer vision and starting doing something for the Kingdom of heaven right today; if you still don’t have a clear answer, join some ministry and help them, waiting for the vision from God.

Pastor Oleg Malykh reminded that we, Christians, have decided to adhere to commandments of the light as citizens of the Kingdom of heaven here on earth. We have chosen the One who we want to serve and Jesus reigns in our hearts and in the world’s history. We pay for our choice, but having chosen Him once and for all and confirming it every day we can be sure — God helps us to live with sincere faith.
