Are you ready to sell all you have for one pearl? In a parable of Jesus Christ, that was quoted by Alexandre Razuvaj at the Sunday meeting of the church “Philadelphia” on 25 October, we read a story about a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it (Matthew 13:45-46). Jesus says about the value of getting the Kingdom of heaven. What are we ready to do for Jesus? Apostle Paul went through so many sufferings! Moses disposed with so many things to get God’s will done. All this was worth doing. Are we ready to throw away dirty and torn clothes of sins that we try to conceal under decent and business-like suit? We may be able to hide it from people, but it is of no use in god’s eyes.

The whole world is under the control of the evil one — that was said by John in one of his epistles. Nothing has happened. No change for the better can influence it much. It doesn’t matter without Christ. To be really changed for the better we should have the firm foundation — it is Jesus. Satan’s aim is to confuse us. Still we mustn’t be afraid of him. We should be afraid of God’s anger: “The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness” (Romans 1:18). God’s wrath is a reaction of God’s sanctity to sin. We are paid for with the blood of Jesus. We are free from sin and have this firm foundation but may sometimes forget about this.
