On 31 May the church “Philadelphia” had a special meeting of healing. Before the prayer for healing those in need there were two sermons aboutit.Youth pastor Vladimir Batalov told about American worship singer Bob Sorge as an example of faith in healing. 15 years ago serving in church he lost his voice and now it takes him great efforts to speak. All this time he has been waiting for healing from God. Crowds followed Jesus Christ, but only some people made an effort to call to Him asking for healing. Often people live in the “crowd” of their troubles and failures and they do not dare to call to God keeping on living with this pain. They forget that “by His wounds you have been healed”.

Senior pastor Pavel Ivanovich Zhelnovakov asked the church a question that seemed a bit strange by sight: “Does God want to heal a person?” Certainly, He does. Then there is another question: “Do we want it?” There are people who need it more than we do. There are many medicines in the drugstore. We might well stand the pain. But why should we stand it? Very often people who suffer become not better, but more embittered. In John 14:13 Jesus said: “And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father”. Through healing we do not just get free from illness, but give glory to Our Father. Our God is God of impossible, and prayer for healing is a certain step of faith for a person who asks for it.

After that ministers came to the stage and prayed for healing.
