On 27 December the church “Philadelphia” had a festive Christmas service. Pastor of Octyabrskij city area Vadim Ryabov congratulated the believers on such a wonderful holiday. He pointed out that the end of the year is always a period of summing up and looking for God’s plans for the coming year. Christians should search it in prayer and fasting.

Music worship and thanking God for the birth of Jesus Christ included performances in the Russian, Udmurt and Tartar languages, with touching children’s voices and dances. There were majestic hymns and joyful songs by the choir of the church “Philadelphia”, the worship group of Sergej Tensin, the children choir, the Udmurt ensemble “Inkrezh” and the youth group “Shumpoton”.

Senior pastor Pavel Zhelnovakov told in his Christmas sermon that the birth of Jesus Christ divided history into two periods — before and after Christ. This is a great revelation of Father’s love for people who are tired to live without it in sin. John 3:16 reveals the essence of Christmas: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life”.
