On august 9 the church “Philadelphia” had a Sunday meeting. The first to preach was Vadim Ryabov. He said that God put each of us into a certain place and certain circumstances to “work the ground” that was given to us as Adam and Eve were to do in Eden. Our task is not only preserve but to multiply the things we have. In everyday life it means to work for the Kingdom of Heaven on earth, to bear fruit and show God through ourselves to other people.

Next Sunday the church “Philadelphia” is to have a communion. To renew the understanding of this event senior pastor Pavel Zhelnovakov suggested thinking about the significance of the death of Jesus Christ. In Romans 5:8-10 it is said that “God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us”. Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness, but it was not enough to shed anyone’s blood to make us free from sin. That is why the death and resurrection of Christ was needed to break the irons of sin and death. Moreover with the death of Christ the curtain of the temple was torn in two thus letting everybody access to the Holy of Holy, to personal fellowship with our Heavenly Father. God’s love embraces us. Everybody can have salvation and forgiveness due to the deed of Jesus Christ.
