At the Sunday meeting of the church "Philadelphia" on 22 January there was a sermon by Alexandr Zakharov. He talked about spiritual breathing. The minister said that what we are breathing in was very important. Christ announced: "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full" (John 10:10). These words remind us about the promise and intention of Christ. Then why do we, saved people, often lack such life? Has Christ weakened or does He break promises? Or have we run out of breath on a long track...

"You were running a good race. Who cut in on you and kept you from obeying the truth?" - apostle Paul writes to Galatians. Something has happened in the church, something went wrong, and Paul reminds them about the true fruit of Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness and others (Galatians 5:22). What kind of breath should we have to get this fruit? We read in psalms: "Blessed is the man... [whose] delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season" (Psalm 1:1-3). Great God's mercy is that He sees what we do and gives all the needed to help us breathe. It is His part and He is Faithful in it. Alexandr concluded his sermon with the following words: "There were a lot of times when in the presence of God my heart was changed. I became calm when ordinary it would be anxious. This is worth of breathing regularly".

Pastor Oleg Malykh gave a sermon about Christians reveling God's perfection. The pastor reminded the church about this: it is not enough to talk about His perfection, it is necessary to show Him with our life. God gave this duty to His people, Israel, lots of times - to show His glory to other nations. He said repeatedly that He would shepherd His herd. He is obviously interested in revealing His glory through His people, through the chosen ones.

Though in the end He says: "Yet you have not called upon me, O Jacob, you have not wearied yourselves for me, O Israel"; "Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him and he will bring justice to the nations." (Isaiah 43:22, 42:1).
God gives His glory to His Son to glorify Himself. This shows that God is searching worthy servants - those who do not distort His nature, His Spirit in serving the world: "Anyone who has faith in Me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father" (John 14:12); "The people I formed for Myself that they May proclaim my praise." (Isaiah 43:21).

Thus we are sent to spread testimony about Christ and the good news about God's sacrifice. Let us live by realizing our predestination.
