Account to God

On November 5 in “Philadelphia” church, Izhevsk the Harvest Festival was held along with the thematic performances. At the first church service Ilya Babintsev and Maria Usova were blessed for the engagement period.

In the context of the festive event senior pastor Pavel Zhelnovakov spoke to the church about the harvest and bringing fruit in our lives. Harvest is a kind of a conclusion concerning our family, ministry, life activity and character changes. Pastor started his sermon with a famous parable of the weeds (Matthew 13:36-43) that depicts the life of mankind, the destiny of believers and those who do not know the Lord. No matter what our social status or life position are, every person will come before God. It is said about those who do not know the Lord: “The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will weed out of His kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil”. For pastors and leaders the last days are described in Hebrews 13:17 where their duty is to give an account. It is written about every believer, leader and minister: “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account” (Hebrews 4:13).

God has put His predestination into our lives, trusting us a certain part for which we are responsible. Many people worry about the account and pastor pointed out the reasons for this uneasiness. Nevertheless he also reminded the church that there is hope, as we will come before God Himself who is absolutely just and merciful.
