Left by God

On August 6 at the services of “Philadelphia” church, Izhevsk, the team arranging outreaches in the village of Lynga shared their experience. In the video about these trips the inhabitants of the village who have accepted the Gospel thanked God for His healings and for the feeling of safety He gave them.

The summer is going on, and it means that the summer rest of the Sunday school groups is going on as well. This time the teens and ministers shared their photos and impressions from the rest with the church.

Youth pastor Vladimir Batalov addressed to the church with his thought about Jesus’s answer to His disciples' question concerning the Pharisees: “He replied, “Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots. Leave them; they are blind guides. If the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.” (Matthew 15:13-14). Why did Jesus judge the Pharisees in such a rough manner, calling them hypocrites, while they were believers, knew all the commandments and were able to cite the Holy Scripture? When they heard Christ rebuking them through His sermons they didn’t want to look inside their hearts and change them according to Gods word.  The pastor paid the audience’s attention to the words of the Apostle Paul: “Watch your life and doctrine closely” (1 Timothy 4:16). The studying of God’s Word will help us to see right ways in life and have God’s fear.

Ilijas Mukhametdinov, the church’s minister, talked of the Parable of a Shrewd Manager, that was entrusted much, but, as it is said, wasted his master’s possessions (Luke 16:1-15). What does every man manage in his life that he will report before God afterwards? Ilijas pointed out the Bible passage about love that is patient, kind, does not envy and has many other wonderful expressions (1 Corinthians 13:4-8). Believers who know God not only may feel Gods love to them, but also share it with those who especially need it. The shrewd manager hurried up to correct his mistakes and the master praised him. So should we act towards people around us.
